Effective Use of ICT Tools in Teaching and Learning
During my teacher training, I explored various ICT tools that enhanced communication, knowledge construction, and information sharing. Among the most impactful were Telegram, C-map Tools, and Google Classroom, each serving distinct but complementary roles in the learning process.
Telegram proved to be an excellent communicative tool. It supported real-time group discussions, seamless file sharing, and quick updates through study groups and channels. The ability to send large files without compression was especially helpful for sharing lesson materials and presentations. Features like voice chats, polls, and voice messages further encouraged interaction, collaboration, and student engagement.
C-map Tools stood out as a powerful constructive tool. By enabling the creation of visual concept maps, it helped me organize ideas and understand the relationships between concepts. This visual and reflective approach supported critical thinking and deep learning. Whether used for lesson planning or group brainstorming, it made complex topics more accessible and meaningful. The process of building concept maps encouraged ownership of learning and nurtured independent, self-directed learning habits.
As an informative tool, Google Classroom brought structure and accessibility to the digital learning environment. Its integration with Google Docs, Slides, and Forms made distributing content, collecting assignments, and providing feedback simple and efficient. It allowed teachers and students to interact, share resources, and stay updated anytime, anywhere. The platform also promoted collaborative work and supported ongoing communication through its Stream and comment features.
In conclusion, the combined use of Telegram, C-map Tools, and Google Classroom created a dynamic, interactive, and supportive learning environment. Each tool contributed uniquely—facilitating communication, enabling knowledge construction, and streamlining information access—thus enhancing both teaching effectiveness and student learning experiences.
